Ukraine Tech Day. Who will go to Vegas?

On October 17, best 9 hardware startups will compete for the opportunity to become part of the Ukrainian pavilion at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

CES is the largest annual tech show in the world, held in Las Vegas, gathering more than 200,000 visitors from around the globe, equivalent to 35 football fields.

Ukraine Tech was established four years ago to introduce the best Ukrainian Tech products to the global market. This year Ukraine Tech is a joint initiative of the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA) and CRDF Global. DTEK - the largest private investor in Ukraine’s energy sector was the innovative sponsor of the project.

Who is lucky to get useful experience, contacts, customers and, as the successful experience of the past years shows, contracts with the tech giants?

Meredot

A Ukrainian startup that promises a “world without wires”. The startup develops wireless energy transfer technology and chargers to solve the problems of existing wireless chargers, such as low energy efficiency, low power transmission, and static gadgets.

Effa

A startup that offers a disposable toothbrush made from recycled paper and environmentally friendly materials that do no harm to nature. This brush is not only eco-friendly but also stylish. The main target audience is travelers, as well as hotels and airlines.

UATAG

A solution for product originality verification and counterfeit protection based on a two-level authentication technology. UAprovides 100% protection from forgery, allowing the customers all over the world to purchase the brand product and to be sure of its identity, creating a safer approach for purchasing goods and more confidence in brands. Furthermore, the customers could verify the product authenticity by themselves that provides purchasing opportunity to the customers and a more reliable approach for all the original purchases.

Mosquito Control Ltd

A product aimed at eliminating mosquitoes naturally through the use of natural attractants, CO2 and heat (imitation of living things). The new mosquito repellent system uses no harmful substances and is environmentally friendly.

CamTouch

CamTouch is a device that allows you to turn any projector or monitor into an interactive board that can be managed with a special stylus. Also it is compatible with all the files and applications that are installed on your computer, now you will be able to work with them using the stylus.

EdPro Amperia

Electricity, Electronics, and Magnetism Lab kit for Instructor Demonstrations and Student Labs. Often teaching demonstrations require expensive, single-use equimpent. Each of the components in the Amperia kit ( including the Amperia Power Supply, the Amperia Multimeter ) can be used in several experiments. The Ameria Power Supply and Amperial Multimeter have built in WiFi data loggers. Graphs created by an experiment can be immediately displayed on a second window using the LCD projector.

UBreez

A smart device that measures air quality by parameters that are important to human health: temperature, pressure and humidity. It is easy to get data: the device displays it on the smartphone screen, and the mobile application sends a message to the user if the indicators are outside the normal range, so you are always aware of what you breathe.

Wyrex.co

A wireless charging model that can charge up to four devices at a time using the Wyrex inductive Qi system. The product of the Ukrainian startup is not only a stylish accessory that makes life easier for the modern users, but also a competitor to the tech giants: Wyrex developers claim that their charging will outpace AirPower by its features: it will support more devices, cost less and charge 30% faster.

Bicovery - empowering people living with Bipolar Disorder

Machine-based learning solution that tracks the emotional and physical state of people living with bipolar disorder and allows family or health care professionals to control the condition of that person.

Already on October 17, iHUB will host the finals of startups and product exhibitions at Ukraine Tech Day, where we will hear the names of 6 lucky team who will participate in the Ukrainian pavilion and receive organizational and financial support from UVCA and СRDF Global.
